07 Oct Body Painting Competition at Art World Expo 2016 [video]
Open Door Gallery had the pleasure again this year to attend Art World Expo at Science World, a magical evening showcasing some of the most interesting and creative local artists and entrepreneurs, who all contribute to the unique cultural fabric of Vancouver.
We were privileged this season to work with the incredible model Daniel Stila, who volunteered to be body painted by award winning makeup artist Marie-Helene Babin to raise awareness about the I Heart Local Art campaign in support of the AIDS Vancouver Grocery Program.
Nutrition is paramount for sustaining and prolonging the health and quality of life for those whose immune systems are compromised by the HIV virus. This program, unique to AIDS Vancouver, is supported by 1 Full time staff and 20 dedicated volunteers who are passionate about delivering this vital, life sustaining program. Annually, the Grocery program must raise over $300,000 to purchase food that is not contributed by other means.
Download our free Open Door Gallery app, and discover hundreds of paintings by local artists from right here in Vancouver and British Columbia. See the art instantly and to scale in your own home. 10% of every artwork sold is donated to the AIDS Vancouver grocery program.
Open Door Gallery is a contemporary art gallery online – specializing in oil and acrylic paintings from painters in Vancouver and BC. We donate 10% of every artwork sold to AIDS Vancouver.
