01 Jun Studio Tour with Sean O’Flynn [video]
Week three of our campaign for AIDS Vancouver was full of activity, including our attendance at the first annual Art!Vancouver, but more on that next week. This week we wanted to take the opportunity to highlight the work of artist Sean O’Flynn, who has generously donated the winner’s choice of painting from his studio for the final #iheartlocalart draw on June 30, including those on display at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and the Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver!
Sean has been a tireless contributor to both Open Door Gallery and the #iheartlocalart campaign. His work is delightful in both colour and spirit, as Sean’s eternal optimism radiates from each piece. His popular circular paintings are applied on custom drum-style stretched canvas which the artist makes himself. The thickly laid paint creates an ocean of colour – you can truly lose yourself in it.
Congratulations to Janice Gibson from North Vancouver who has won the week 2 prize pack: $5o to Open Door Yoga, an AIDS Vancouver t-shirt, and an Italian Opera Buffet for Two at the Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver. The week 3 winner has been notified by email and will receive $5o to Open Door Yoga, an AIDS Vancouver t-shirt, and a photoshoot from Benjamin Samson Photography.
A new winner will be drawn each week until the end of June. Great prize packs include local art, yoga, and hotel goodies. Follow Open Door Gallery and tag #iheartlocalart.
Local art. Now that’s smart.
Open Door Gallery is a contemporary art gallery online specializing in oil and acrylic paintings from painters in Vancouver and BC. The #iheartlocalart campaign will donate half of all card and notebook sales as well of 10% of all artwork to AIDS Vancouver. This fundraising campaign is currently exhibiting at hotels in downtown Vancouver BC, including the Four Seasons and the Pan Pacific.
