Laura McNeice

Laura McNeice grew up in Port Coquitlam BC and has been drawing ever since she could hold a pencil. At age 8, her parents encouraged Laura’s artistic disposition by enrolling her in after school art classes with local artist Judy Shields. Laura continued to practice drawing and painting throughout her school years and in 2004, completed a 15’ by 17’ mural honouring Terry Fox’s run across Canada. The mural is displayed in Terry Fox Secondary School. Lauras passion for painting is charged by her enthusiasm for life and music, her love of reading and words, and a continuous desire to bring colour to the world. Laura is hopeful that her art brings encouragement and excitement to others, she strives to challenge the trends and create bright and bold images that flirt with bursting at the seams.
