I was born into an artistic family and as such, art runs through my veins. My Father was an accomplished illustrator, designer and painter. Both of my Brothers are professional photographers and are talented artists and animators. Two of my Uncles are renowned comic illustrators in the United States. I started drawing at the age of two and throughout my school years I mastered all the different art mediums including Watercolor, Airbrush and Oil painting. I completed my formal art education with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. I subsequently spent considerable time doing museum painting art restorations and in Japan I painted murals and environmental paintings under the guidance of Kenju Sensei. I have been employed as an advertising Art Director/Graphic Designer and I have freelanced doing storyboards for advertising and music videos. Body Tattoos and Permanent makeup tattoos are my current passion. My oil portraits have a very fine and very realistic look to them. I use very gentle, short strokes and concentrate on the details around the eyes–giving them life and sparkle, mouth, hair and clothing. As a general rule, the backgrounds of my portraits are more abstract and loose with minimal detail as I prefer the detail of the person I am painting to stand out. I take great pride and care in painting my portraits as I want them to be displayed proudly from one generation to the next.
